As Barley Straw decomposes in the water, it releases a chemical which inhibits algae growth.

Fully biodegradable, simply add to your pond, over a few days these slowly sink and as they break down they help to inhibit algae growth.

Use Barley Straw from spring onwards and leave in place all season, discard when the straw becomes black.
